My life was one born in towers of gold with impenetrable windows. My life was one of nobility, aristocracy. Silver blood ran through my veins and it made me one of the Acier; a Princess of the Acier. Until those windows became ruptured. All my life I have never had the chance to breathe outside the walls of my home; then I met him. I am a girl betrothed to one I do not love yet am surrounded by people who have managed to enter the crevices of my heart. I should have known that not even my golden windows could have protected me from my destiny. I should have known that my crown would cost me my security. I should have known that all along that the only solution to cure the world was to paint my hands in the blood of those who threatened to uproot any evil we had worked so hard to hide. In that moment, I was no longer betrothed to anyone who held flesh or blood; I was betrothed to the cold steel of my sword and the promise I made to protect the lands until my dying breath. ❝ Best Rankings ❞ #25 in Princesses #49 in Feminism #95 in Warrior #49 in Silver #3 in Steel #5 in Betrothed #175 in Kingdom #361 in Princess #386 in Prince #354 in lovetriangle #2 in Royaume #2 in summer2017 #556 in War

/// SAMENESS, WHAT WE STRIVED FOR SO LONG TO ACHIEVE. BUT WHAT IF YOU'RE DESTINED TO BE DIFFERENT? \\\ Nine months of Hibernation, three months of being awake--that's how the year goes for us. Half of us wake up tired and sore while all of us wake up smelling of either lotion or bleach. But during the nine month period of hibernation, I woke up. And now I know why I always wake up sore and reeking of bleach. ⥀ Humans have always strived for equality, for everyone to be treated equal. We finally reached the point of this harmony, this level of sameness--and everyone is happy. Many, many generations later. But what happens when, in a wold of people knocked down and stood up to be exactly alike, a person wants to be different? What if they're destined to be unique in a world of strict equality? ⥀ #10 in Scifi on 7/21/17 MADE IT TO ROUND 3 IN THE WRITERS OLYMPICS Now available as a paperback and ebook. There's always a way of illustrating how someone feels. They either give you a funny look or ignore you completely. That person never speaks to you but nor does anyone else. You hide what you really are and never let yourself come through because if you do they will stare. Some people can express themselves and be accepted to the world. Others get pushed away and frowned upon, and some hide everything.
