The dust has settled after Daniel, and things have returned to a sense of semi-normalcy. Then David begins to act strange. He's hiding things, and there's someone on his phone he just can't seem to stop talking to. David has a secret to keep, and Max is determined to pry it out of him. What he finds, though, is worse than anything he could have possibly imagined. He falls into a spiral of paranoia. Surrounded by ghosts of the past, enemies at every turn, and the realization that he can't trust anyone, Max finds that David is only one side of a double-edged sword. Rated T for swearing A Max/Nikki centered fic. I keep the characters personalities almost completely canonical to the actual show. This is my first fic I've ever written, and school hasn't taught us how to write character dialouge since like 5th grade, so I'm pretty uncertain about all of this. Also the different styles of writing and different points of view for the story. These are the things that keep me from doing ANY writing, because it's all so CONFUSING so any help would be greatly appreciated!
