It was a time of change. An era of revolutions and overthrows; of secessions and unifications. A time of recessions and elections and bloody beautiful football. Electronic music and boy bands, zombies and the coming of winter. The time of dystopian worlds and SickLit novels that aimed to be 'Okay? Okay.' The age of reboots and remakes and high functioning sociopaths. There was a Doctor with a bow tie and a Doctor without a bow tie and two incredibly awesome brothers with a pet Angel. The age of rights and discrimination. Of terror and happiness; oppression and liberty. An age of fear and an age of hope. And it was in this time that I started 11th grade. Clara Forsyth knew what a hard life was like, going from one place to another with nowhere to call home. She preferred that sort of life rather than one in high society where parents expected a woman to marry young and act as docile as a puppy. It was destiny that placed her on the RMS Titanic that day, the same destiny she always seemed to dodge. As for Nathaniel West, life was always easy, his family being prominent figures in the New York Society. More than one woman who crossed his path called him a perfect catch. However, Nate wasn't happy sitting around laughing at subordinate ranks. He wanted to explore, to see what it meant to fend for himself. These two lives and many more would find themselves changed on that ill-fated night, April 14th, 1912. #261 Historical Fiction 7-5-16

"Your name's Anna and you're an anesthesiologist?" "Yes." "That's punny." "I can't wait to knock you unconscious." +++ Anna is an anesthesiologist. She's even more surprised when one of her patients wishes he doesn't wake up right before she sends him under. And when he wakes, he says he could bear living another day if it meant staying with her, which leaves Anna wondering if he's just delirious or serious...

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED COPYRIGHT©2016 "Jamiliah! Come back and -" "You know what? No. And it's Jamie. Don't call me Jamiliah ever again. I'm done here." And with that, I left. Not allowing my mother to have the final say. "I'm done here." I whispered again, my heart drumming in my chest. Although I knew deep down she had probably yelled at me to come back or stormed after me but in my head, I had the last say and it felt refreshing to say the least. I didn't know where I was going or what I was doing. I just followed my gut - and my gut was telling me to just get away from this place as fast as possible. That was when I was 18. - It's been four years since Jamiliah has seen her parents or her family. But now, looking back at the past she realises that she should reconcile with her family. Living on her own and trying to make a life for herself, Jamiliah has struggled with all sorts. What happens when her past comes back to haunt her? Will her family accept the new her? Will they take her back? This book is open to read for all! :) WARNING: The main girl in the story is Muslim and the story includes Islam however, it is NOT a perfect representation nor is this a story about what Islam is about. Islam is perfect whereas it's believers are not. I hope you understand. Enjoy. Note - I've changed the category from Teen Fiction to Spiritual.
