Why do we have to meet in secrecy? Why can't I even see your face? Why do you have to lurk in darkness to meet me? Why can't you just-" No more words came out as my throat felt too chocked by the upcoming tears. I weeped, closing my eyes as tears fell down on my cheeks. His breath was all I could hear for a few seconds. And they were the only signs of reassurance that he was still there. Soon warmth spread around my entire body as a palm came to rest on my cheek, wiping my tears away. Instinctly, I leaned into the warmth, and rejoiced. But the warmth left soon and so did he when I opened my eyes. He left. He left without saying that he loves, without saying that I'm his only one. He just left.
