I always got hurt by the one's I loved. They hit me, slashed my cheeks, burned me with a flame torch, and so on. I always wondered why they had a flame torch, but the scar from it lays on my foot forever. I also wondered why they did this to a 12 year old. But the one who kept me going was my brother Aiden. When they starved me, he would bring me milk and leftovers. And when they would hurt me, he would hug me and rock me to sleep. He's 23, but he still lives with us so he could see me live another day. Sometimes I would wake him up and cuddle up next to him because our parents were fighting. I have one thing to say, they drink too much. But he would still shush me and rock me to sleep, I just feel protected. Well one night we try to escape. My dad...he did something I will never forget.
