"The Cask of Amontillado" (sometimes spelled "The Casque of Amontillado") is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, first published in the November 1846 issue of Godey's Lady's Book. The story, set in an unnamed Italian city at carnival time in an unspecified year, is about a man taking fatal revenge on a friend who, he believes, has insulted him. Like several of Poe's stories, and in keeping with the 19th-century fascination with the subject, the narrative revolves around a person being buried alive - in this case, by immurement. As in "The Black Cat" and "The Tell-Tale Heart", Poe conveys the story from the murderer's perspective. Cover by the lovely @theygotnone

"Anna Karenina" is the tragedy of married aristocrat and socialite Anna Karenina and her affair with the affluent Count Vronsky. The story starts when she arrives in the midst of a family broken up by her brother's unbridled womanizing—something that prefigures her own later situation, though with less tolerance for her by others.

"Well, seeing as this is my castle," Jonah began sarcastically. "I feel I have a right to know what it's occupants are up to." "As fascinating as it is to know what you feel you have a right to, I feel that I don't much care." Aura said whilst shoving him out of her path. "Goodbye." ****** Aura was not looking forward to marriage. At all. While her older sister may have been perfectly content to marry a complete stranger, Aura couldn't bind herself to some pompous prince. However, unbeknownst to Aura, her father's kingdom is on the brink of war with their neighbor, and now is not the time to be picky when choosing a husband. That's how Aura finds herself in a foreign land with some idiotic prince for a fiancé. Will Aura ever love the surprisingly good-hearted prince? Will she ever know the secrets of her own native kingdom, let alone her future husband's?

-HIGHEST RANKING: #261 in Historical Fiction- Penelope Lane is a Lady, John Ains is a farmer's son who skips stones on the brook that runs under the castle bridge. Paths will cross, perspectives will change. With her mother sick, and her father and eldest brother building railways across the sea, Penelope is left with her five remaining family members, her brothers. With his parents dead, not enough discipline for school, and not enough schooling for work, John makes his own fun with his friend Henry. This started out as a FanFiction (see Moray's Life Before the Paradise), but I lost inspiration. I always wanted to continue it as a separate book, so here goes. I credit most of my inspiration for this book to the song Penny Lane by The Beatles.

(Was once, 'the boy in the mask') He's just one of those cliche guys. You know, the ones from the books. The football player, blondie, popular, blue eyes, chick magnet, has a group and is known. But is that really all there is to it? She isn't your average girl, but she isn't cliche at all. She has a tragic past that she hides from everyone, her eyes are like emeralds, she's is full of secrets, she is determined, and she's really shy. This actually kind of sounds cliche, but she's different. That's all I can say about her. These two met at a Halloween party, but they didn't know who was who since they were in costumes. It wasn't the first time they met and it definitely won't be the last. - Update- I used to think this wasn't cliche at all, but when I reread this I cringed cause its really cliche. In fact, the most cliche-est thing I've ever read. So, I'm gonna update, but I'm gonna write on the spot. So it'll be an adventure for all of us!!
