"He's a bad boy. He's bad news" Abigail Antonias was warned as soon as she entered her fourth high school that a particular boy named Nathaniel Reece was the definition of a bad boy, and is best to just avoid. But that just made Abigail's curiousity peak. What could be so 'Bad' about him? And sometimes, the worst decisions are the best ones. (Note: Not totally cliche, believe me)

"Don't tell me you called me in the middle of nowhere to say this? By the way what's wrong in meeting him?" She asked him. "I.. mm .. thought that it's not permissible in Islam." He sounded dumb to himself too. "Says who? The man who sleeps with women before marriage? Forget it Omar i am being straight forward with you. Why do you care?" She knew she was irritating him. There are so many stereotypes when it comes to love and marriage. Arrange marriages are loveless; they make the most boring "how I met my spouse" stories; it usually involves forceful behavior on the parents' side; etc. Both Jaivant and Ananda grew up as NRI's in England and USA, respectively. Even though they spent most of their time with their American and British friends, they grew up as Indians in foreign lands by eating the food and speaking the language. Though brought up similarly, Jaivant and Ananda couldn't be more different. Jaivant is usually reserved but serves as the life of the party; Ananda's effervescence flickers brightly in a room yet she feels light headed at social gatherings. Jaivant enjoys the dating scene (unlike his family and most of Indian society) however, doesn't believe in the embellishments created by movies and books; Ananda lives off of romantic novels and movies yet has never enjoyed the casual dating and flings her generation evidently thrives on. Nevertheless, these difference were basically nugatory after they had met for the first time on a rainy typical Kerala night. Their journey is supposed to be swift sailing, which is the point of an arranged marriage. But then again, what great romances are?
