I spat the words so fast, I feared he didn't catch it. But he did. "You don't know what love is. You can't love me." He muttered angrily, peeling his hands from my waist. "This-" He said looking dead into my eyes and pointing the both of us. "is not love." ***------------*** Tina had always been the perfect trophy daughter. Always had the perfect smile, perfect body and only to the public eye, she had the perfect life. She was the perfect student at secondary school, her judo and self defense classes. The perfect chorister at church -although she sound like a dying goat whenever she sang-, she even became the perfect punching bag for her parents but it was never enough. She had always struggled to reach their standard of perfection, until HE came along. She discovers secrets about her life and the man she 'loves', secrets that leaves her feeling like a stranger in her own body. He just smiles at you reassuringly and says," I see, not in the mood for a chat. Okay just know my door is always open.." You nod your head stiffly -- anything to get out of the office and on with your new life. "I promise this will only take a moment. As Haven High's newest Enlightened student there are few things I think you should know." Firstly, this world is not for the feint of heart. We'll expect you to study hard and train even harder. Secondly, I know everyone is exceedingly attractive but looks can be deceiving, it would behoove you to remember that. Thirdly, magic will be the most invigorating and exhilarating experience you've ever had , but never underestimate it , because it's also deadly. "Do you have any questions?" You stare at him wide eyed and tight lipped until he leans forward behind his desk to say. "I know you'll do just fine here. Run along now." he dismisses you with a wave of his hand. And you rush to leave the room, he calls out before you can shut the door, "Oh and don't forget, our world is not to be shared with anyone who was not previously aware of it. Understood?" You gulp at the serious as a heart attack look on his face and say in a rush:,"I would never," but you wonder as you leave can you really keep that promise.
