A group of teenage friends, Dave and Dirk Strider, Rose Lalonde, Jake English, Karkat Vantas, and Kanaya Maryam, all have very different personalities. Though with all these differences, they all attract to eachother. What happens when one night at 3:42 A.M. they all awake at the same time to find powers that contradict to their personalities? Will they disregard their abilities, or find love trying to control them?

Great. Just fucking great. First Karkat's dad dies, then he has to move halfway across the fucking country with his brother and his stupid fiancé to some shitty suburb in fucking Houston, and then he ends up at the same school as world famous, self-proclaimed asshole Dave Strider. Except... Dave's in a wheelchair. And for some reason, he won't stop taking pictures of him. And he's kind of... nice? Not what he expected. Not at all.

Karkat Vantas is an anti-social teenage kid. He's crabby, rude, and always in a ' I don't give a fuck' mood. Dave Strider is a cool teenage kid. He's popular, attractive, and stoic. Dave is the new kid at Karkat's school, and in all of Karkat's classes. After random drama comes up, Dave and Karkat are practically attached at the hip. (This is my first fanfiction. Hopefully it doesn't suck to much. Ikimaru owns the amazing picture. Don't be afraid to comment negative or positive.)

Dave Strider is the Commander of the Knights of the King, and the King's younger brother. When drafts come in to become knights, he must supervise and train them to be strong and loyal soldiers. However, when a scrawny boy called Karkat from the Kingdom of Alternia wins a fight he most definitely should of lost, he grabs the Commander's attention. Dave begins to train Karkat personally. However, when it is discovered that the Empress of Alternia has sent five skilled and supernatural Assassins to the kingdom to infiltrate the kingdom, Karkat becomes a prime suspect. Dave will either have to betray his feelings for his student, or risk his life, his family, and his people. And Karkat will know pain far worse than death. Read to find out what happens.

((Derse dreamers are demon's in this story and Karkat, Kankri, Nepeta, & Meulin are part demon [cause of signless and decipple] but Meulin & Nepeta where killed by a hunter {signless was a hunter trying to get demon's to be friendly, but got captured by Condi} so kanny and kk live with there aunt an 2 cousins [Dolerosa, Porrim, & Kanaya]. Karkat becomes a hunter to track down the demon that killed his dad, but makes a contract with one. <Nepeta and Meulin are more demon than human 'cause of Decipple>))
