Students and faculty bowed down to them. They were the princes of the school; no-one thought to go against them, no-one would dare. Their lives were perfect within perfect white walls. That is, until they met her. ~ Sang Sorenson was an average student of average looks with a seemingly average background. Everything, though, was turned on its head when she hesitantly accepted a scholarship for the prestigious Ashley Waters Academy. Nothing could have prepared her for the harsh world of the rich, nor for the nine boys who make it their mission to try to conquer the tough girl who wanted nothing from them. Influenced a bit by Boys Over Flowers (the K-drama) **Warning** OOC. It's FANfiction, people lol

"Are you feeling alright, sweetheart? Do you need to go the Nurse's Office? You don't look like you're doing so good," he said, concern lacing his tone. I forced myself to make eye contact, giving him a hollow smile, my eyes crinkling at the corners as the lie flowed naturally-instinctively- from my lips. "I'm fine, sir, just tired." Of course I was tired. Who wouldn't be when their mind was constantly fighting against them? As my eyes connected with his, I willed myself to open my mouth, to admit I wasn't alright, that I was as far from alright as I could be. I wanted the help- I really did- but something held me back. Instead of confessing, I smiled a little wider, a little brighter, and simply repeated, "I'm fine." +-+-+ The abuse causes depression. The depression causes anxiety. The anxiety causes isolation. The isolation fuels the depression. It's hard to be yourself when you don't know who you are. Sang would know. She's been wearing the mask for years, putting it on without trying, then forgetting to take it off. It's been so long she doesn't know who she is anymore. What would Sang do, she asks herself, her eyes connecting with her reflection's as she strained to see past the mask. What would I do? Every night is a battle, the days raging wars, all the while Sang Sorenson is held prisoner in her own body, forced to watch the time pass, alone in her resistance. But she's getting tired. Tired of resisting. Tired of trying. Tired of breathing. Her smiles only hold back her desperate cries, her laughter the thundering of her fists against the steel bars caging her in. She's desperate for someone to see her. She's terrified for someone to see her. Guess what? They see her. (Rated mature for the following; strong language, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, thoughts/conversations about suicide, possible suicide attempts, and mentions of rape)

I've hidden behind the lens of a camera since I was seven years old. My Mom dying turned me into a shell of a person; I stopped speaking, I hid behind fake glasses, my hair and baggy clothes. I let my father move us around, never asking questions when he would disappear for days at a time from the time I turned thirteen. The only thing that my father did that ever got the rare smile from me was when my birthday came around and he brought me a camera every year. The camera was my security blanket, another eye that I used to see things through, another way to observe even as I pressed that shutter button. Moving to a new town, a new school never fazed me; I never purposely drew attention to myself. I hid behind the camera, like I always did and that was when I started capturing them just like they started capturing my heart. *This is a work of Fanfiction based on C.L Stones Ghost Bird and Scarab Beetle Series'. I do not own The Academy or any of the Characters. They are all C.L's.* THIS STORY WILL CONTAIN MATURE CONTENT! I WILL PUT A AUTHORS NOTE WHERE TO EXPECT IT.
