Caity071
Ever notice the little things in life where maybe a bottle blew over but there was no wind? How you might of tripped but there was no explanation as to why?
This girl didn't. She was just trying to stay hidden, or unnoticed. She liked the silence- found it comforting. She read- a lot. Kept up with her schoolwork. Belonged to a normal, loving family. Nothing special about her.
Or so she thought.
They were around her all along and she hadn't even a second glance towards the simple things, like the bottle or occasional fall. People, not ordinary people but human in many if not most ways so yes, people.
Not a slight wind. Not a tiny root, rock or anything of the sort. It had been people.
How you may ask? Simple- magic. Not -pull-a-rabbit-out-of-the-hat magic, but magic nonetheless. Wondrous, unbelievable magic.
And all of a sudden, you see a world you didn't know existed right before you.
It could be something strange...
___________
"You're not real," I whisper.
"Oh, but I am." He answered, matching my tone.
-
Or something scary...
___________
"You're a ghost who murders anyone you disagree with." Garth said, his voice showing no hint of any emotion.
"Everybody has a hobby." Sullivan responded, a horrible glint in his eyes as the words left his lips. "But then again, if what you said was true; you'd be dead already."
-
Or even something beautiful...
____________
"That isn't possible." I shake my head, smiling softly.
His eyes twinkled, and as they were wise, I knew they were also filled with wonder. "You'd be surprised my dear,"
-
But it's still magic.
