It's the first semester back, and some people are more positive about walking the hall again then others. But when new faces show, relationships rise, bets, plans and even the food in the cafe are tested even the most positive of students are having second guesses. Maybe it won't be so easy. Riley is a dancer who might be falling for James a break dancer who is her best friend. They have a lot of chemistry. Riley wants to be be friends with James but the other half of her is in love with him. Their friendship is at stake.

When Riley gets kicked out of E-Girls by her own sister she is devasted and also sad that her own family kicked her out. She has no one now unless you count the whole A troupe and James of course. A whole new life for Riley after being kicked out from A Troupe. Can she get through it?

After The Next Step won Nationals they have to restart with Regionals. Although what happens, when they realize someone who no one would have thought get into a troupe ruin the group.
