The persona has a moment of true self-reflection where these emotions are expressed and brought into question. It tells of the ride you go on when searching for who you are. Lavender's Mimosa is a bitter-sweet triumph of finding yourself and loving who you are. This collection highlights the message of self-love, self-worth, self-happiness, self-confidence and self-acceptance. Some of the pieces in this collection are based on and inspired by personal experiences of the poet and as well as experiences of friends that inspiration was drawn from and used. Pieces are also based on and inspired by observations and even just the use of the imagination as well. All these different aspects of storytelling come together to tell a compelling journey (or story if you'd like) of self-awareness. - Poet's/ Author's Note- My goal as a poet and author is for these pieces to be relatable. It is for you to find something that speaks to you, something that evokes feelings, emotions, something that you can share a connection with. I hope in reading this collection, you at least find a piece that resonates with you. Just a piece to even show that my job as a writer, my job as a poet has been completed.
