An epic tale of love and survival across generations. In a world suddenly without electricity, societies crumble, and new ones rise to take their place. But in what form? The Richards' family story traces the triumphs and disasters of a new world rising from the ashes of the old.
A series of YA/adult commercial fiction books, for ages 17+, crossover hi-concept thriller/adventure/romance. The first volume is set in the immediate future, with Donald Trump as President. It traces the disintegration of society in South East Alaska, once all electricity is lost (in a credible scenario). A dystopia, sure, but no elements of fantasy. It is "thoughtful," considering themes like how to build families, societies, the nature of democracy, sustainability, power, the place of religion - positives and negatives- and how relationships might work in a new world- themes which are explored more fully in further volumes.
