Dr. Spencer Reid is recovering from his life-threatening injures, but he gets a weird phone call from his mother. He is now searching for someone he never knew existed. And tie in returning to work and much drama from the Behavioral Analysis Unit in the FBI. *Book 2*

One Day, Dr. Spencer Reid doesn't show up for work. The team thinks he overslept, so they send two over to his apartment. What do they find? Sleeping Reid? Or worse?

It only took one gunshot. Spencer Reid had gotten through a lot in his thirty one years of existence, he'd been shot, kidnapped, you name it. His team at the BAU just got used to the fact he always bounced back to peak health. But while on a case, one gunshot was all it took for them to realize that they might lose their youngest member, once and for all.

It has been years since the elite team of BAU profilers drifted their own way. But not to worry, because Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia still works for the new team of profilers that took their place, and has scheduled a "Blast From The Past Profiler" party. Everyone is excited, but are not aware they are about to meet the new team, and as the party proceeds, the former dream team realize just how much they miss their old jobs together. Will the two teams clash? Or will they team up to become the best SSA's the world has ever had?

Six years ago, the BAU team watched their youngest member fall apart, and now as he grows secretive and distant again, they start to think the worse. Their suspicions get worse when they are called to Las Vegas to assist on a serial killer case and he closes himself off but when Dr. Spencer Reid disappears from his hotel room, the team have to work quickly to find him before they have another body on their hands.
