May Fredericks hates New York. Which is fair enough, since New York seems to hate her back. Just weeks after moving from Wisconsin to Manhattan, she receives the world's worst marriage proposal, stabs her boyfriend with a shrimp fork in a very public venue, and accidentally becomes notorious. And that’s before she gets mugged. At her wit's end, May washes up at a Packers bar in Greenwich Village, where she meets a surly, unhelpful guy who hates her shoes and calls her ex a douche. His name is Ben. He used to be a chef. Now he's a rooftop beekeeper with anger management issues. She wouldn't even like him, but he reminds her of home … and he knows where to find all the best food in the Village. She makes him laugh. He buys her tacos and cowboy boots. The longer they’re stuck together, the better May and Ben get along … and the harder they fall. TRULY is a quirky, modern New York love story unlike any you've read before. ********* About the Serialization TRULY, the first novel in Ruthie Knox’s forthcoming New York Series, will be serialized in its entirety on Wattpad. #1 Romance | #1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | Watty Awards winner for 2012 Romance Emma Ross is a hard-working, quiet girl who tries to stay off the radar. It's all going okay for her until she starts getting along with one of the 'It' boys. Having this happen, comes with drama and pain, is it all worth it? Or it is just best to stay out of it all? As Emma battles with the conflict, which will she choose? It might just be the best thing for her... ** I acknowledge that this story has a series of mistakes in it. I wrote this many years ago and did not take it seriously. It is a complete draft full of mistakes. I understand this may be frustrating when reading and I apologise. But I would rather focus on improving my writing now and focus on my new writing, rather than go over and edit this, when I already have edited the other version not on Wattpad. Sorry for any inconvenience. ** © 2012 by LaurenJ22. All rights reserved. Cover by annasteffey

I wrote this story originally when I was 13, so I am rewriting it. I am redoing the whole story and starting from scratch since the original version is too horrible to try and edit and fix. It's better to just start from scratch. The 2013 version is still up, but I would not recommend reading it. It's honestly a disaster. I'm keeping it up until the 2020 version is done. Alexis Wilde attends an all girls private boarding school. At this school, softball is the main sport. Alex is one of the pitchers and goes about her boarding school life like normal until an announcement is made. The neighboring all boys boarding school got burned down and since they have the room. They will accommodate the students until the end of the semester. Alex didn't mind at first, until she realized with boys now at her school, it meant more drama that was unnecessary: cheating, stealing crushes, claiming boys, jealousy, envy, and love. She found her drama and his name is Aaron James. She knew when to say no and when to say yes, but she gave in to a thin friendship with AJ for the sole purpose of finding out the mystery of who burned down his school. It was no accident and it was painfully obvious when they realized that smaller fires were set before the burning of the school and read that the fire was reported as arson. They didn't realize that investigating it gave way to not only something they have been denying, but also to a danger that complicated their lives even more. Now they juggle hiding from the unknown arsonist, their grades, sports, and the drama that follows being in an interim co-ed boarding school.

(TH#3)“'If you can look me in the eye and tell me anybody has ever held you like this, kissed you like this, loved you like this, then I will let you go. I will leave and I will never come back.' And as much as I wanted to say that, yes, someone else had, I would be lying. Because nobody, not one person, had ever cherished me like he did." A father convicted of a murder, and Elsie was there to witness the entire thing. It should have left her scarred and afraid, but because of the help from Sam, a mysterious and kind stranger, she powered through it. He was her best friend, always there when she needed him most . . . Until he left her. Nearly eight years later and as Elsie finds herself stuck in a troubling situation under less-than-optimal circumstances, he suddenly comes out of nowhere again. But something has changed, with both of them. The secrets are heavier, the pain is greater . . . and what was once a friendship has turned into the roots for something more. Something that frightens both tortured souls equally. It's big enough, strong enough, to hold through, if they just acknowledge how much they need it to. Everybody has bruises . . . Some just take longer to heal than others.
