In the year 2100 Earths population went over board so the World Council (WC) decided to send people to Mars, the Mars project was one the masses hated and almost no one wanted to abandon their home world, so the WC forced many people to go off world, many families were separated. In 2111 the people of Mars decided to take back Earth. Mars forces were named the MU (Mars United) and the Earth soldiers became the EDF (Earth Defense Forces).
