Gerard was the prince, the decedent to the throne. He would rule the kingdom one day. On his 18th birthday, when he had come of age, he was taken into the roommof sacred mirrors. His mother led him to the largest mot beautiful one in the the center, resting on a grand looking stand, the mirror looked sharp and polished. His mother gave him instructions. To simply stand in front of the mirror. He did so. He waited and waited but nothing happened, so he asked her what was supposed to happen. "You will see your soulmate, its tradition, you will see a pretty girl and you will marry her and take over the kingdom." She told him. His eyes widen at what he sees, fore he doesn't see a pretty girl at all. "What am I suppose to see again?" He asks his mother. "A pretty girl." He shakes his head and presses his nose against the glass. "But I see a pretty boy." Gerard tells his mother. In a fit of rage she cracks the mirror deeming it broken, and walks off. It's been nine months since Gerard went missing, leaving his brother, Mikey to wonder why he left. Mikey finds a note left by Gerard in a very Margo Roth Spiegelman-esque manner, telling him that he is the only person Gerard would be okay with finding him. And with that, Mikey sets off on a journey to locate his brother using rather vague instructions, on the way meeting a little more than slightly emo boy by the name of Pete Wentz, whom becomes a close friend to accompany him on his journey, and maybe even something more.

"What is it that actually cured him, Doctor Iero?" A voice asked, causing my breath to hitch. The question had caught me off guard. Why? Because I didn't fully understand the answer myself. I took a deep breath before replying. "Love." I stated quietly before clearing my throat and repeating myself, louder this time, "Love is what cured him." ******** For years, Gerard has been locked away in Desolation Row, the mental asylum for those beyond crazy-- for good reason too. Gerard's haunted by the demons of his past: forming as voices in his head and hallucinations, which leaves him sometimes confused to what's dream and what's reality. They're both nightmares to him. That is until a new doctor is assigned to him, to hopefully break Gerard from his seemingly incurable trance. The worlds best doctors had tried to battle their ways into Gerards mind, yet to no avail. But still, the new doctors' hazel eyes and therapeutic voice has Gerard intrigued. No one can understand Gerards' new fascination with the man: not even Gerard. Although, Gerards' mind still torments him with the fact that 'Doctor Iero' may be only a figment of his imagination-- a reassurance that his mind could take away just as easily as it was made. Despite this, Gerard feels the urge to grow closer to the man who had miraculously stole the attention of the uncanny mental patient, in the hopes that he can help stop Gerard's tortured mind and his stay at Desolation Row might not be so bad.

I'm Mikey Way, the grand twenty year old virgin and general klutz when it came to anything vaguely romantic, with a twenty five year old hermit of a brother who only leaves the basement to visit his not quite boyfriend, Frank. I think Pete may be one of the weirdest people I've ever met, I mean, there are not many people who find amusement in so casually involving blowjobs in their first conversation with you. Pete was a man whore, I thought man whore was a pretty weird term, but I guess Pete was a pretty weird person, so it just sort of fit, like pieces in a puzzle, or a dick in his mouth, apparently. Maybe things would end up with Pete being my friend, or maybe even something more than that, wouldn't that just be... odd? Puzzle pieces, huh? But things are never quite that straight forward, things just love to stray just off the key of reason.

Gerard is a single parent now, finally matching paces with his best friend, Frank, who is also a single parent. Lindsey and Gerard aren't worse off than Jamia and Frank, and maybe Gerard's thankful for that. After a failed suicide attempt, Frank Iero is placed into an induced coma to prevent any further self harm. While he's asleep, he's visited by what he believes is an angel who sings to him.
