Heroes. Ever since they showed up, people have gone soft. They're adored, worshipped. Devotion is showered upon them like rain. It's about time someone knocks them off that pedestal they stand on, someone to crush their pillars of faith. Someone like me. A villain. It's perfect. I'll be the undoing of heroes. ≠ disclaimer: very much needs to be edited, very much needs to be less corny and very much needs to be entirely rewritten by me. if you approach it as a goofy, corny, old 2015-esque superhero book then it'll be a great time. i'll be honest and say there are no pulitzers here. completed ✓ highest rank in sf: #9 cover: @narwhelly

***GirlXGirl Romance*** Living in New York you learn to keep up with the quick pace of the city, myself included. I was never the one to stop and smell the roses, but that was until I met her on that dull September afternoon. Her eyes were light and dark at the same time, as if a devil and an angel lived inside of her. Time itself had stopped, and since that day everything had changed, ever since I had crossed paths with Drew Wilder.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION Can she be herself in a one-size-fits-all world? Lori Palmer is the new girl at Bay Water High, where students prize glossy hair, beach bodies, and school spirit above all else. She misses her old school―where her talent as an artist carried more weight than she does―and longs for her old family life, before her parents got divorced and her mom reinvented herself. So Lori decides that the only way to survive the rest of the year is to blend into the background, but her plans go awry when she discovers that the most popular (and hottest) guy at Bay Water High, Jake, is a volunteer at her brother's school. When her brother befriends Jake's sister, Lori is suddenly thrust into his unfamiliar and exhilarating world of water polo, parties, and stargazing. But with her relationship with her mother deteriorating, old anxieties resurface and Lori finds a new artistic release that unknowingly ignites a powerful movement. When the authorities start asking questions, Lori realizes that finding her voice might have gotten her into a world of trouble...but sometimes standing up for what you believe in is as important as standing up for yourself.

[1] New Beginnings: WARNING!! Story is technically complete but I started editing literally years ago then never finished so the beginning's a little funky! Percy Jackson was adopted at the age of seven by the nastiest family in the world: the Dursleys. He met Harry Potter, the most wonderful person in the entire universe, that same day. Though completely unrelated, the boys were nearly identical, a connection forming between them that would last years to come. The pair would go through life as brothers in everything but blood. Connected at the hip, these seemingly average boys had much more in store for them than they could ever imagine. A note: Percy Jackson doesn't discover anything about the demigod side of his universe until later in the second book. Just a warning. If that's too slow for you, don't read. DISCLAIMER Note that I do not own anything that was created by J. K. Rowling or Rick Riordan. I only own some of the plot and the occasional person or place that I may create myself. WARNING When people comment mistakes, I come back and I make sure that they're fixed. So, I'm still editing.

When Everly Reed collides with the cynical and devilishly handsome Mason Valdez, she knows trouble is ahead, but she never could have guessed how much she would be drawn to the storm. ***** Nineteen-year-old Ever Reed likes when things make sense. Which is probably why she excels at math, enough to secure her a spot at an Ivy League school out of state. Sheltered by her mother and older brother Asher for most of her life, Ever hasn't experienced much of the world, but she knows New York will be an adventure. Enter Mason Valdez: cynical, arrogant, and undeniably attractive-exactly what Ever doesn't need. Death had followed Rowena Ashbay her entire life. At eight years old, after narrowly surviving an attack from a mountain lion, she accidentally murders her parents. All she had to do was touch them, and they fell dead to the ground. Terrified of her own powers, Rowena secludes herself, never allowing herself to touch another person in fear that her powers would take another life. For ten years, she lives alone on the streets, not daring to trust anyone. Until an attack on the city leaves Rowena's world destroyed, and she makes the same mistake she did ten years ago. But this time, there's someone there to save her. They call themselves the Embers, a group of people who each have wondrous powers. They're led by Adrian Hill, a powerfully charismatic man, and he promises to give Rowena a home and a family in exchange for training her. She would be a fool to refuse him. But even among friends, Rowena Ashbay is still a lion disguised behind a docile lamb. She has a dark power in her veins, and it threatens to consume her and everyone she has grown to love.
