This is the journal of a walk through writing an entire novel in a month, as it happens. This includes thoughts, tools, struggles, and planning strategies. I wrote 78,000 words for the novel in the month of November, 2014, and this is the journey of writing it. I wrote this journal at the same time as the novel, each day reporting on what I was struggling with as I wrote. At the end, I have included notes on my 2015 NaNoWriMo novel.

One cannot always tell what it is that keeps us shut in, confines us, seems to bury us, but still one feels certain barriers, certain gates, certain walls. Is all this imagination, fantasy? I do not think so. And then one asks: My God! Is it for long, is it for ever, is it for eternity? Do you know what frees one from this captivity? It is very deep serious affection. Being friends, being brothers, love, that is what opens the prison by supreme power, by some magic force. Vincent van Gogh, letter to his brother, July 1880 (ruby's letters may be read in any order, but the oldest is no 1.)

This is actually a bit of an experiment. There is a lot of talk about cliches floating around-- most notably, how bad they are. The idea is: fit as many as possible into one story and see what happens if the main character can respond to them appropriately. If you can get through this, cheers.

Okay so hey guys, I'm alive. And I really do not think I have the real desire to write a sequel to my original work so.... here is what I'm planning to do instead. My original work was finished in 2013 and I started it even earlier. I was sixteen when I finished it up and while I might have been an alright writer, I've grown a lot through my creative writing classes. I didn't even edit what I originally work and that continues to terrify me. What I want to do is go through, edit, and make changes I've thought about since I finished it. At the time, I wanted a sequel. I thought I could pump it out really quick even though I'm relatively sure it took me two years just for the first one. I want to make this wanna be two work piece into just one. I want to give you all a real ending and make it something I am proud of. I'm planning to post it up on Ao3 as I edit, and post it up on Wattpad chapter by chapter (maybe one every two days?) once I'm finished. If you want to see the progress as it goes, I'm at blondiebatgirl on archive of our own. The prolouge is already up. Once I start uploading the new version of this, I will mark the original as such and the new as 'rewritten' or 'edited', whichever I deem more apt. It will tie in the conflicts I wanted from this story and will only leave mysteries I wanted in the first place. There will be a definite ending. If I write another Phantom fic, it will stand seperate from this (because I've had a plot for one for years now). Anyway-- I'm so sorry for those of you waiting. I'm going to hurry to get this edit/writing done and get you all the closure with this story because even I need it at this point.

***********WARNING!!!! Material includes graphic violence, rape, language, etc. IDEOLOGICALLY SENSITIVE. Read at your own discretion!************ In an ever-growing universe of constant change and infinite Realms, a universe populated by not only humans, but human-like creatures called "demons," where magic was as plentiful as water and a deity called Fate ruled, powerful beings called Guardians were born and made to protect the Infinity. Guardians, specially selected by the Council to harness the Powers of the Infinity, were highly revered, and many in number. But there were three who were loved and feared most of all. They were called the Trinity. These Guardians were Spirit, Darkness, and Light. The other Guardians answered to them at times, and they were burdened with powers beyond your imagination. Alas, the Guardian of Light was dying, and on her deathbed she bestowed her Power to a child whose birth wasn't expected for another century and a half. That child was Arielle Penthoseren. Before she knew of her Power, she was simply Arielle, the youngest princess to her people, an annoyance to her mother, and best friend of her family's worst enemy. She underwent trials of her mind and soul that she never knew anyone could live through. But while she was tried by the Realm and by Fate, a dark force was stirring. The Watchers, a force as old as the universe itself, were waiting. Regaining their strength after being recently defeated by the Guardians. They, the Seven, were planning the end of the Guardians, and the end of the Infinity. Will Arielle discover her Power before it's too late? Can she save the Realm and the Infinity she loves so dearly? This is the story of the Guardian Sea of Penthos and its keepers. ---- Pardon errors/typos/missing or added words/whatever else. I only edit it like once before I post chapters. When it's finished I'll edit it again. Enjoy~
