Two cops-- partners. They see it all: the good, the bad, and the stupid. And when they’re on the job, what they see could get them killed. This is one of those days. ***Note:  Rather than a traditional story, this is 'slice-of-life' fiction, comprised of various vignettes in the lives of these characters. This story may not be everyone's cup of tea.*** (This is the second adventure of Officers Earnest and Wry. The first is told in “Arrest Me.”)

All she wanted was an autograph. He was an actor who’d starred as a doctor on a very popular TV show way back in the day, long before cable TV spawned zillions of channels. He and his co-star appeared on the covers of dozens of fan magazines, and their public appearances drew crowds of swooning, screaming girls who became giddy at the mere sight of them. Now, older and more mature, he was definitely still handsome, but his public appearances these days were more of the public-service variety. He was well known as a motivational speaker for a few select causes, which was why he was here, at an autograph signing at a medical-industry conference. She’d waited in line to meet him and he gladly signed a photo for her, after which she walked away so the next person could have her turn. So why had he sent her the note? What did he want? **Note: This story is geared for adults only. And it is intended as a short-story only.**
