Am ajuns la Ally și am împins-o cu umărul, atât de tare încât ea s-a prăbușit pe podea. Îmi împlinisem obiectivul. Am rămas sprijinită de perete privind-o. Văzând cum respiră și cum mă privea plină de uimire, mi-am dat seama terifiată că timpul a repornit. M-am uitat la profesor cu groază. Pistolul era îndreptat acum spre fruntea mea. Atunci proful de mate a apăsat pe trăgaci fără niciun resentiment. "Nu mă gândeam că matematica va fi cea care mă va omorî."
