Rayla is an average girl in the village of Vertari: daughter of a seamstress, faithful contributor to the war effort against rival nation, Naysar, and petrified of going into Gavar, the dark forest. Rayla may be an average girl, but when a mysterious pull draws her into Gavar, she will be thrown into the midst of war and must unite the kingdoms of Naysar and Aevia, her home country, in order to defeat a greater foe. Along the way, Rayla receives guidance from a voice that soon associates itself with the elusive pull, but will it be enough to overcome the unforeseen obstacles and betrayals that will come her way?
