"My name is Jace Overton, and I have schizophrenia." Mr. Stevenson stood from his desk, his eyes widening and surprise slapping him in the face as if he'd just discovered vibranium. "Wow, so you're a schizophrenic?" My mom told me there were three kinds of people in the world: people that didn't care, people that cared enough, and people that cared too much. He was definitely the third type of person. "No, I have schizophrenia. I am not a schizophrenic." "Is there a difference?" I stared at him blankly, "I wouldn't have corrected you if there wasn't." ----- Jace is weird. Jace has a blunted affect, a knack for memorizing, and a strong attraction to a Pakistani girl named Elizabeth. He also has a distant father, an overbearing psychiatrist and two best friends that get him into situations (some of which end with his nose [and heart] being broken). He has a sister that's ten years his senior, daily medication, serious hatred for the color white and a mere four years to accomplish the following things: 1) Make his parents fall in love with each other again. 2) Make Elizabeth fall in love with him. 3) Get people to understand that he has schizophrenia, he is not a schizophrenic. The former is attached to an identity while the latter is a label. A CampNaNoWriMo Novel

Ambos eligieron no expresarse, ambos eligieron no existir. Y ambos están en peligro. . When Jack Gibson becomes infected with The Red Plague, turning him into a so-called Zombie, his life suddenly gets complicated. Kara, his cheerleader girlfriend, dumps him. Then, after a Zombie riot, his mother decides the city is too dangerous and drags him back to Osborne, the hick town where she grew up. Things go from bad to worse as Jack learns the town is being run by Garret Sweeney, a psychotic preacher with the hots for his mother. As it turns out, the preacher has a few secrets of his own, and will stop at nothing to get his way... not even murder. When Jack discovers that rock music helps him think more clearly, things start to look up for him and he even decides to help some of the other Zombies at his new school. But he can't seem to win for losing, because it only gets him in more hot water with Garret. How long can Jack hide his secret? Who can a Zombie trust? Will he be able to stop Garret before it's too late? Find out the answers to these questions and much, much more, as Jack struggles to hold on to his humanity and save the people he loves. Note From Author: Hi, Thank you for checking out my book! There's so much to read on Wattpad, and I am grateful for all of the support that I've received. I've tried to bring something a little different to the zombie genre, and I hope you enjoy Jack's story. If so, please consider voting, commenting, and sharing with your friends using the "Share" option that is available for all Wattpad books. It took many many hours to write Zombie Rock. Your feedback and support is what makes it all worthwhile. You Rock! :-)

In the near future, humankind has mastered the arts of peace, tolerance, and acceptance. At least, that's what we claim. But then they arrive. Aliens--the last of a dead race. Suffering culture shock of the worst kind, they must take refuge on a world they cannot understand; one which cannot comprehend the scope of their loss. Taciturn Gwen Pierson and super-geek Basil Grey are Specialists for the Institute--an organization set up to help alien integration into our societies. They take in Kalp, a widower who escaped his dying world with nothing but his own life and the unfinished toy he was making for a child that will never be born. But on the aliens' world, family units come in threes, and when Kalp turns to them for comfort, they unintentionally, but happily, find themselves Kalp's lovers. And then aliens--and the Specialists who have been most accepting of them--start dying, picked off by assassins. The people of Earth, it seems, are not quite as tolerant as they proclaim.
