Prince Castiel of Paradina has always followed his father's orders, and he's always wanted to protect his people, which is why he didn't argue when his father told him he would be escorting his sister Hannah to the kingdom across the lake for her to marry Prince Dean of Terren. Hannah is nervous, and so is Castiel, but Sam and Dean Winchester and their friends help put the two of them at ease. But not long after their arrival, an attempt is made on Hannah's life. It is unsuccessful, but the entire castle is now on guard, and Castiel must find out who would want his sister dead and why... all the while dealing with the feelings that are emerging for Dean Winchester. (So in addition to this being an arranged marriage AU, this is also a wings AU, meaning Cas and his family have wings. Just so you weren't blindsided by that.)

Charlie has been best friends with Castiel Novak for a long time. Since they were seven, they've been through a lot. Charlie has known Cas is gay for several years now, but he still refuses to admit it. But then Dean Winchester shows up for their junior year of high school, cocky and confident, and Charlie sees her chance. She just has to figure out how to convince Cas and Dean that they belong together.

Castiel is an Angel of the lord but when his brother Gabriel is called away on a mission of heaven, Castiel is forced to be normal. This involves going to school where he meets the dashing Dean Winchester.

After both families need a fresh start, the Novaks and the Winchesters become neighbours. Dean and Castiel, however, refuse to talk to anybody but something brings them both out of their shells.

Castiel never liked people, and although he has nothing against his college room mate Dean personally, he finds that Dean is no exception. But Dean seems to like Cas like no one ever has before, and Cas is starting to think maybe people aren't all bad.
