What she couldn't understand was the thought of an assassin, such as herself, falling in love. Well, the idea wasn't impossible. Her father had her, Joey, and Grant all at some point, didn't he? But Deathstroke promised Rose when he trained her that he would stomp all emotions but the hatred for the HIVE out of her. Anything more or less would distract her from her mission of revenge. And yet, there was something about Kaldur'ahm that made her think about him constantly. Now, as the new Girl Lantern, Jaina is offered a place on the Justice League's Co-ops team of sidekicks. She's not very happy with the connotation "sidekick", but she's not going to sit around all day and twiddle her thumbs either. As she grows closer to the covert ops team, Jaina finds memories that connect with each member, memories she is very certain aren't really about the team at all... The Justice League better be careful, because at the rate things are going, the team isn't going to be very 'luctant' to just hand Jaina over when her friends come looking for her.
