Don't show fear. Don't attract attention. Don't forget who the monsters are. Those are seventeen-year-old Janneke's three rules to surviving in the Permafrost. Her family is dead, her village burned to the ground, and now she's a slave in a court of merciless goblins. Though her master, Soren, offers her a small sphere of protection, it comes at the cost of abandoning humanity and their ways for good. When the Goblin King is defeated in a fight, it ignites an ancient competition to become the next King. The goal is simple: kill the sacred White Stag before the other goblins kill you. Soren sees it as the perfect opportunity to shape Janneke's acceptance of the goblins' way and give in to the hatred and violence festering inside of her. Janneke's only hope for survival is to outrun, outfight, and out-kill every creature in her path, all the while dealing with Soren, whose fierce desire for her to be a goblin is shadowed by his fascination for her human heart. Hunting the Stag is Janneke's best chance at revenge over those who enslaved her, but to succeed, she'll have to watch her humanity bleed out like the creatures she's sworn to kill. **CREDIT FOR THE WONDERFUL COVER GOES TO @seventhstar *** ***COMPLETED. Ari Callahan has no idea how to talk to boys -- or how to talk to anyone for that matter. Enter Zac, the cute new guy in town who won't stop texting her. But is his interest real, or does he have a hidden agenda? ***** Found as a young child washed up on the beach, 17-year-old Ari Callahan has never uttered a word out loud to anyone -- not even her adoptive family. Psychologists have diagnosed her with a condition called selective mutism, but Ari can't help identifying with her namesake character, Ariel, the little mermaid in the fairytale whose voice was stolen by a sea witch. Mermaid-obsession aside, Ari's silence makes socializing tough. She's never had a boyfriend or been asked out on a date. Not until Zac, the confident new arrival in town, asks for her number. But Zac has his own reasons for texting with Ari. He's part of a movement to sabotage the artificial music app called SirenSong, threatening to render human singing obsolete. Zac's collaborators have scoured the globe in search of a singing voice perfect enough to break the SirenSong spell, and their search has led them straight to Ari's beachside town. Will her relationship with Zac help Ari find her voice and unlock the secrets of her origins? Or will he use her and leave her high and dry? Title: Ari and Zac (formerly The Mermaid Hypothesis) Content Warning: This story contains references to selective mutism, suicidal thoughts, and early childhood trauma.

Ava was just an ordinary girl; her life revolving around home, school and a part-time job as a waitress in a small diner a few blocks away from said home. She didn't have friends, didn't have a boyfriend, didn't have trouble-making tendencies... She was basically the shy, quiet classmate that sat alone at a corner, minding her own business. If she was such a simple girl, then why did Ethan Hunter, a very dangerous criminal, take sudden interest in her, and had her life turned upside down in just a single night? This story is intended for mature audience, so viewer discretion is advised. If you still want to go on, however, then enter at your own risk.

I grabbed the end of my sweater and pulled the sweater over my head with my tank top stuck to the sweater because of the sweat. This caused my large boobs to be revealed with a transparent bra hardly covering my boobs at all. I put both the sweater and tank top in my locker and picked up my T-shirt from the bench beside me. I was humming to work from home and then I twirled around facing the door. When I did so, I let out a short high pitched scream. Because standing in front of the door was Dallas Baxter. The school bad boy.
