It was nearing the end of Summer, meaning all the other campers and Max were going home. On the last day, David noticed Max acting differently than he usually does, but he brushes it off, and all the campers go home. Until a turn of events happen.

Max has lived a hard life, and can't take any more abuse, so when camp is close to its end, David got rather suspicious that something might be going on with max. Max refuses to tell David, and in doing so goes back with his abusive family. Max then decides to leave his family after a painful beating he had received. He then runs away to find David. (Not completed yet)

David approached the new counselor, (Y/N) with a welcoming smile. "Welcome to camp campbell!" He smiled. (Y/N) smiled nervously, giving a small wave to the man. "Yeah, welcome to this shithole." He had what his old parents and the kids at his school call "monster eyes". He always hated his eyes and wore contacts, but the summer after he was taken in by David, he lost his contacts. Max had come from an abusive and neglectful family. From all the beating physically and verbally he began getting nightmares and terrors. They got worse as time went on and started happening at camp. Max at first glance is an unruly, unstable, and unpredictable child. He would curse anywhere at anytime, but that was just a shell of who he truly is. Max, not at first glance, is a scared, nervous, and depressed boy, who just needs help. Way to much to ask for right? (All campers are now the age of 12)

After Parent's Day, there was still half a summer to go. Most everyone had been back in a good mood after getting to see their parents again, but Max was still his own self. David thought about this a lot. Then again, so did Gwen. It kept both of them awake for all hours of the night to think that one of their campers had a family that couldn't even bother to sign their son up for an activity, or to show up for Parent's Day. The camp got happier, Max didn't. As he got worse, the others became happier, and the counselors more worried.

Set after the events of Parent's Day, things haven't exactly gone back to normal how everyone thought they would.
