Though until they phased. Later on in the story, Embry goes first, then Jacob, then Quil. Embrys phase became the hardest on Hazel since she didn't know about werewolves- same with early Jacob and Quil. Once Embry leaves, Hazel starts digging into on finding information about these boys. She was confused on why Embry just up and left. After a week of Embry phasing, Jacob comes along and does as well. By that point, Hazel starts getting mad. She storms over to Jacobs house one day, demanding why he and Embry have been avoiding her and Quil. What she didn't know was that Bella Swan was also going to be there.
