He had the skin of a drow, but the most beautiful shade of ginger hair. It was obvious that people thought he was a drowman - all those looks, stares...But he didn't care. He was so caring and kind to me - all the drows I had read about weren't. So the rumours were fake. My mother and father faithfully served Sepulchure all their lives. I was going to do the same, because of tradition. Maybe if I broke the rules, I probably would've been able to be by his side. When I realised he was joining with Alteon, I didn't know what to say. We would be separated for the rest of our lives, doomed to never to meet again. The last time I saw him.... When I realised I would see him again, my fate had been locked into place. My mind was under their control. I was forced to do their bidding...forever. LMAO IM SO BAD AT WRITING THESE OK BYE

This is a remake of my collab & the 1st book in the series, which has the 1st arc: Memory. II: Quod Vero De Chaos Et Timor has the 2nd arc: Chaos infiltration. III: Auxilium has the final arc: Freedom's Journey. Could've put all the chapters of the arcs in one, but it'd be 2long2read. I like to separate arcs in my stories; people won't get confused. Most mortal societies have two things in common; the belief in the almighty, and the fear of death. Some of those who fear their own mortality will seek an existence that transcends death. Ultimately, we all must die; but what if someone found a way to circumvent death - not to prevent it, but to erase its permanence? To create a living death, a cursed and bloody existence. We cannot ignore death. We try to understand it, to shift the unknown into areas more familiar, more explicable. We create stories to help us deal with the immutability of death; one such story haunts us now - the legend of particular demons who roam this world. But a legend is not proof. The story is not reality; we cannot be certain that they exist, not yet. Contamination, sudden abnormal deaths...in this place death is sure to spread quickly; all the factors are in place. Close contact with neighbours, life in an isolated area, a society that handles their matters internally. A town with complicated regional ties and complex blood relations, Yes, the disease will spread quickly; and by the time it is done, this village will be annihilated. It is the cause of demons. In this village there is a legend; a legend that says that those who die with regrets or grudges shall rise from their graves and haunt the living, and wherever they go, calamity is sure to follow. They will wake, wander and bring more people to join them. They will rise among the trees and travel down the dark hill. They will find idle dreamers and fearful folk huddled around dim lights - lights that can do nothing to protect them; and they will strike.

This is the sequel to I: Vide Stellas, so please read that one first! Cover is by MLP-Ninjago (but I edited it a little!) Book 2 consists of the Chaos Infiltration Arc, the 2nd arc in the series. After this arc, Auxilium, the final installation will consist of the Journey To Freedom Arc, which features the finale of this story. Those who fear punishment learn quickly how to behave; for primalism is not likely, they will simply do whatever they want. The case is different for those who do not fear punishment, because there is nothing to keep them in check. They do not act for consideration of the future. They take what they want; feeding their inner hunger. I am a victim; they took me away from my friends, so now I should curse chaos with every breath in my body. But there is no anger in my heart. Instead, I feel something that I can only describe as pity. I think of the others, and the sorrow he must feel for killing countless people. My own feelings are setting me apart from the village. Vath views himself and his fellow allies as forsaken by all of Lore, and he is correct. He crossed the sacred barrier that death is supposed to create; and in doing so, he did indeed become a forsaken creature. He attacks the healthy, and feeds upon their sanity until they give in to the strong hold of chaorruption; and when they finally accept it, they become just like him. His existence stands in conflict of the order of Lorithia; he is something other - and that other is something that is forsaken. If Adam wants to save this world, he cannot stop to question whether his actions or right; unfortunately, that is a luxury that he cannot afford. Chaos will not stop. In order for them to save themselves, they must eradicate the mortals; and yet, I find myself dwelling upon the morality of what they do; that is who I am, and I cannot change it, even if I wish to.
