Mark has always been a peasant. He was born in a thatch-roofed house to two farmers who work the field every single day, making just enough to get by. Nothing was special about the Fischbach family. Despite the lack of money in his family, he had never wanted to turn to stealing. But when a bad growing season turns a poor situation into a dire one, there's only so much you can do before you have to turn against the law. Getting caught wasn't part of the plan. Getting thrown in the king's dungeon for multiple accounts of theft to save his family from starvation was not part of the plan. Out of all things, Mark had never expected to be brought in by King Seán himself and told that he has a secret that even HE didn't know about. Jack arrives at Mark's house, ready to go to a convention in the morning, but little does he know that Mark had his own problems. Is he sick? And if so, is it contagious? (WARNING! MATURE LANGUAGE AND GORE)

Jack is a prince in a Kingdom nestled in the mountains, and he is well acquainted with his people and his life. However, he's definitely not ready to take over his term as the King yet. There's too much that he hasn't done yet, and even with the other Kingdom he's supposed to ally with his own through marriage growing frustrated and restless with their weapons, Jack refuses; girls aren't really his type anyway. Mark is a solider for the King's army, and has been all his life. He is aware that the other kingdom is ready for war, and he is going to be the one to fight them. Even so, his general assigns him the role of persuading the prince into marriage by protecting him as he does what he wants, but always reminding him of his duties - an order that Mark ignores. Only after they start spending time with each other do both men realize they found themselves in a situation much more than they bargained for.

Shit can get complicated in life. Especially between friends, or even best friends. And it all usually tends to happen when someone goes and makes a bad decision, and that said decision only leads to a long chain of misfortune. Mark and Jack have been friends for a good two years since meeting each other through YouTube.
