Five thousand soldiers drew their swords for a battle that would change the course of history, of time, and the future. But in a matter of months... the war was lost. Only one man returned alive, left with nothing but a scar embedded in his chest as proof of his time served. Rubyn has nothing to return to--no home, no family, no friends. Yet he's beginning to find out that something far greater is happening as a consequence of the lost war. And there may be more to why he alone walked off the battlefield alive...

Just something to let ya'll know I'm not dead, or maybe I am. Any cursing in this story is not a reflection of the writer, it will only be used with characters that I deem stupid enough to curse. Again cursing is not a reflection of the writer. Thank you.

#TNTHorrorContest top 100 finalist. Removed after public voting failed to move it on. You can still read part one here. Find the full story on Amazon and Goodreads. Description: Inspired by a nightmare, "Over The River and Through The Woods" is a psychological tale of terror, following a teenage girl named Charlotte as she visits her aging grandmother Abby in the woods for a weekend. She quickly discovers that Abby isn't quite the same grandmother she remembers from seven years earlier. Her mind is fading fast, and so are her manners. As Abby's mood swings grow more and more violent, Charlotte begins hearing strange noises around the old cabin, and soon begins to wonder if she, too, is losing her mind.

This was actually an English class assignment. We had to make up our own gothic short story. I thought I'd upload mine just for fun. - Gemma :) #TNTHorrorContest

The sound of water flowing down a river calms the mind, but the sound of the graceful words strung together makes the mind clear to feel. These are some poems by me so I hope you enjoy. There is no certain topic or a emotion I focus on so they are a random. I wrote these when i was very young, and will soon be publishing a genuine book version of poems i have written and am thinking to actually publish, so do look at that.
