When one of the Olympus gods is kidnapped, Zeus issues a quest for their retrieval and orders Percy to lead this quest. Poseidon refuses for his son to do another dangerous quest and he takes Percy back to his lair, bringing Annabeth with too after Athena agrees. With the fate of the world in the balance and no one to fix it, Zeus is forced to chose a lost Amazon to save the world she's already saved.

An alternate where Tex is successful and saves Carolina, but troubles are made on their adventure as they can't get along, but other freelancers are after them. But on the way they learn to trust one another while searching for Lina's beloved. Meanwhile Meta and Wash are on the hunt for A.i's and the loving relationship between the twins come to an end, and tragic events that happen to many other Freelancers throughout the story.
