Summary: This story goes between the Christmas break of James Potter and Lily Evans' sixth year at Hogwarts to their seventh year, and it is basically just because I ship Jily so much it's just not funny anymore. Lily and James become closer and Lily finds herself falling in love with the toe-rag. Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Harry Potter. Lily Evans has hated James Potter ever since their first year at Hogwarts. It's not something that Lily ever expects to change. But outside the castle walls, a dark wizard is rising. No one is safe anymore. Lily is thrown into this fight, merely because she is a muggleborn. Even with her magical abilities, she is fighting to have a place in the magical world. Will she be alone in this fight, or will someone she never expected join her?

WHY YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK: I don't call eyes 'orbs' You love Jily enough to search for fanfics - James Potter and Lily Evans, two of the most talked-about people in Hogwarts. Their relationship was interesting, the cute green-eyed girl calling out insults at the cheeky Gryffindor seeker, the handsome boy always teasing the nerd and asking her out, meeting a defiant refusal every time. In Lily's eyes, Potter was just another boy who is arrogant, annoying and rude. However, with a startling turn of events, she may find out that James Potter is more than he meets the eye. James Potter regards himself as just another player. Lily Evans was merely another challenge. That girl frustrated him by being completely oblivious to his charms. I, was supposed to have the easier job, on the 30th of January, 1960. I was born the first girl to ever have words tattooed across their left wrist instead of your right, but as publicity would have it, I wasn't allowed to tell anyone. Eventually, I will find my soulmate and soon enough, another villain just had to arise alongside Lord Voldemort. (By the way. It can always get worse.) The Marauders are starting their fifth year at Hogwarts; Remus is starting with a massive scar across his face - a byproduct of the increasing severity of his furry little problem, which is a definite cause for concern despite his insistence that it it's fine. Sirius is starting with the memories of a certain morning at 12 Grimmauld Place in August: memories that he might not ever forget, yet is desperate to cloak underneath the facade that every is fine at home and that he and his parents just sometimes encounter minor disagreements. James is starting his fifth year, yes, but more importantly, he is starting phase five of his plan to woo Lily Evans: somehow his friends seem doubtful that he might succeed, but James, being James, is in no lack of confidence. And Peter, well, Peter is starting to wonder just why he puts up with these people, and if he should really be feeling sorry for Lily Evans, and maybe if he should have asked to have been sorted into Hufflepuff.
