Katyusha was your average young woman in Russia, that was until June 22 when the Blitzkrieg of Russia began. Her town became war-torn and wanting to fight; she picked up arms with her grandfather's rifle. Driven by revenge and hatred towards the Wehrmacht forces, her legacy and wraith were brought forth in its fullest. The first female sniper ever to join the Russian ranks, she quickly became feared on the front as she earned her nickname, 'Die Jägerin.' This was her war, and her stories about survival, betrayal, and her brothers in arms that have fallen in the bloodiest, most desperate battles of WWII leading up to Berlin.

It's almost 10pm on the night of Monday, December 8th, 1941. The White House, the residence of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, has finally calmed down since the Pearl Harbor attack brought unceasing chaos to the US Government Sunday afternoon and all today, until about half a hour ago. Finally, peace and quiet, despite the fact the United States of America had declared war today on the Empire of Japan. President Roosevelt was trying to relax in his office with camel cigarettes and his own version of a martini cocktail. As ten o'clock chimed away on the White House Grandfather clocks, there was a knock on the door and entered a Colonel War Cloud. Harry Hopkins, the President's Chief Advisor, had set up a late night meeting between the President and the Colonel to discuss a special project President Roosevelt wanted to activate immediately. That project is The Intruders, a special international commando team operating under the guidance of a newly formed international organization, the President would soon be calling the United Nations. The Intruders mission, based on the three D's, is to Detect enemy secret weapons facility locations, Determine enemy secret weapons potentiality, and Destroy enemy secret weapons programs before such wonder weapons are released onto the battlefield or used on targeted cities. General War Cloud would select top Commandos from around the World and train his Intruders, Team 52, in the Arizona desert and then prepare for their first mission against the Japanese called Operation Rookie.

When Lena's life gets turned upside down by one of history's most tragic events, she has no idea what to expect. But she could have never imagined love... (The holocaust was a horrible time in our history, this story is in no way making it okay. I'm just trying to bring a lightness to a terrible event that never should have happened.)

Alisa sealed her eyes shut, in a desperate attempt to hide herself as silent tears slipped down her cheeks. She wanted to scream, she ached for her mother, she wanted her brother to hold her in his arms. A large cold hand bound in a fingerless glove veiled her mouth, keeping her quiescent while the other hugged her tight and hushed her. She released a inaudible whimper and trembled. Poor little Alisa didn't understand. She couldn't apprehend why those men on the other side of the tree wanted her dead. She knew they were bad people, but didn't know why. Her young and fallacious mind paralyzed her from straight thinking. Nikolai cringed as the voices got more blatant as they walked by the trail. They were searching. He hated constraining Alisa, she was so afraid, but if he didn't, they would surely hear her silent screams. The sky was crepuscular and only the soft moonlight illuminated the woods. If there wasn't such a high risk of death, one would stand outside in awe at such a beautiful night. "It will be okay Alisa.." he whispered just loud enough for her to hear. He couldn't let anything happen to her. She was all he had left. And sadly, it applied in reverse. The German voices grew louder as they neared the section of the trail where they were hid. It was snowing and Alisa shivered in Nikolai's arms. Nikolai's heart raced and his hand moved from being wrapped around Alisa to his holster at his side, pulling out a his black pistol. He gripped it tightly and held it close to him and took a deep breath. The voices got louder and lights shone around the area. Nikolai's mind raced for their next move. He couldn't surrender to them, he had seen what these men had done back at the village, he would surely be killed on the spot, and if those men had enough of the devil in them, only God knows the horrific things they might do to Alisa.

(Currently Editing) Poland, 1942. When Celina Rudaski took the evening train to Warsaw, she did not expect to return responsible for the lives of two Jews. Then again, she did not expect her father to be whisked away in the middle of the night by soldiers, nor did she expect her house to become swallowed by flames of fiery hatred. Yet it all happened in the matter of twenty-four hours. A stubborn, introverted fifteen year old girl, Celina refuses to believe the many stories of the horrific genocide against the Jews, often turning a blind eye to anything that reminds her of the war. But when she unwittingly promises to hide two Jews in a home she does not have, Celina must journey across Europe with these strangers in search of lady who might be able to rescue them. They are filthy, they are broken, and Celina cannot seem to control the hatred burning inside her. Together they travel town to town, witnessing each cities own branch of horrors, even hiding in basements of strangers. In ways painfully unimaginable to Celina, these two Jews affect her life in the deepest of ways. As they dodge bullets, stumble upon an injured enemy pilot, and attempt to escape the hands of the Germans naming them fugitives, Celina must learn to face what she has been too terrified of her entire life. ***Edited by the lovely @jgfairytales
