This is a Sherlock x Reader story. You have come to London from far away to get away from your parents in your "home" country. It wasn't like you lived with them but they would visit...often...so you collected enough money to go back to London. Yes, back to London. That was were you where born before certain events came into play. In coming back, you need to find a place to stay and find out that a person is in need of a new flat mate. You decide to go but he wasn't as you expected.

You- yes, you- are Detective Inspector Y/L/N. Working with Lestrade, you finally went on a case after weeks of boredom, but you unexpectedly and quite literally barged into a flat that belonged to two men after the case had a turn of events. Even you didn't see that coming. Working at Scotland Yard is a nice job; you liked it. Except for the fact that most days you were bored out of your mind. One of the men that you met that afternoon is the one and only Sherlock Holmes, and with a secret and traumatising past behind you, can you forget it over the excitement and rush of 221b Baker Street, or will it come back and haunt you? __________________________________ Credit to @rip2me for the cover, as well as inspiring me and giving me a hand with this story.
