This is a Percabeth story for contest 4. It's about Percabeth's recovery after Tartarus.

Annabeth had been through a lot of unbearable pain before. Being a half-blood, she had a lot of experience with pain. But none of those could compare to this. The emptiness- No. Not emptiness. Heartbroken. Grief. Loss. Not emptiness. It hurt so much that it was worse than dying. HE left a whole in her heart. The whole that he left was worse than Luke's. And she hates HIM for that. HE left her a scar that not even ambrosia and nectar could ever cure. HE left her dying. She wanted to kill herself. She wanted to cut herself. She wanted to plunge into the depths of Tartarus, curl up and die. After everything she did to survive, she wanted to give up. But she just couldn't. He wouldn't want her too. He would want her to stop hurting and move on. But she just couldn't. She was alive and dead at the same time. That's how it felt when Percy Jackson died. There was no moving on from Percy Jackson.

After defeating Gaea in the second giant war, Perseus Jackson goes missing- yes, again. Needless to say, both camps launch into mass hysteria, wondering where their hero went, and why. Countless search camps are organized, but all return empty handed, coupled with broken hearts and clouded minds. Then, three months later, the impossible happens: Percy Jackson returns. The Savior of Olympus reappears at Camp Half-Blood, with blood on his face and horror in his eyes. This is the new Percy Jackson. The seven desperately want to uncover the past, but Percy remains tight-lipped and solid. There was a change in the son of Poseidon, a change that the campers weren't particularly fond of. As time ticks onwards, the seven and Nick begin connect the dots, begin to step back and see the larger picture- Oh, how they wished they could return to the bliss of ignorance.

With a short temper and extreme protectiveness over Annabeth, Percy hasn't looked over other people like he used to. He needs to help the camp, but can he also save himself?
