I live in a pretty screwed up world. I mean, we all do, but mine's a little more screwed up than your average American city. First off, I have that cliché sort of crush on my best friend. The second part of that cliché is that he's interested in every other girl but me. Second, we have superheroes. A lot of them. Flying everywhere like annoying insects, teleporting like it doesn't scare the crap out of the rest of us, defeating bad guys like they're the new Mr. Incredible. The whole works. The third thing is, I'm one of those superheroes. My name is Kiera Knight, but the rest of the world knows me as Shadow. _________________________ Kiera Knight has been saving Cryptic City from her nemesis, Blaze, for two years now. As soon as she thinks she's got him under control, the wildfire spreads chaos through both of her lives-as Shadow and Kiera. But she soon finds out that masks can't hide every secret, and she might have been helping guard a secret that could put Cryptic City in ruins. "I hate supervillains. But after being a superhero, I think I'd prefer to be a supervillain now." _________________________ (I seriously didn't even think of Keira Knightley when I made up her name. Just thought I'd let you know.)

Not every villain wanted to be the bad guy. Maria Green's life has been one disaster after another. After choosing to run away to escape a group home, Maria and her foster sisters find themselves homeless in New York. Things take a turn when they're caught by a boy they pickpocketed and are forced into a gang. Maria's got one job, keep herself alive and use her powers to help steal or she can die. Simple, right? Maybe not when a guy dressed like a cat decides to insert himself in your criminal activites. Trapped in a deadly fight between hero and villian, there is only one right side. The question is, can Maria figure out which one it is before its too late?

Sidekicks. The sad, ever-suffering excuses of heroes - a title you tack onto someone who's trying, just not hard enough. Few can shed this sad label and pave their own path. I intend to be one of them. The heroes are crowding enough of the spotlight, in my opinion. It's time for me to step up. I just know I can do it - I'll be the undoing of sidekicks. ≈ standalone extension to the undoing of heroes' universe. ✎ completed cover: @narwhelly

Villains. Heroes. Try as they might, one is always bested by the other, an endless fight without true meaning. We all have to pick our sides, but I think it's outdated. Highest: #2 in adventure "My second question is what should my name be?" I raised my brows. "What? You don't have one yet?" He chuckled. "Come on, I'm new to this circuit. Just help me pick an identity, Jamie. A name. Maybe something science-y, cool, and cold." He said, tapping his dark blue mask idly. "Oh, and It must begin with C because it would take me ages to find a trustworthy tailor who is also secretly a scientist to fix this suit." "How about Caitlin Snow? She is a biochemist and she can shoot ice out of her hands." I suggested. "And if anyone says she is not cool, I'm willing to fight them on that." "As much as I'd like that." He crosses his arms, smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "She is Killer Frost already and stealing another super's identity is not cool." I threw my hands in the air.
