Gerard had an abusive daddy so he ran away. In his attempt to escape, he met a man named Frank Iero who decided to temporarily take him in. The plan was to keep Gerard until he could take care of himself, and then put him in an orphanage. But Frank and Gerard's relationship grew until Frank couldn't bear to let Gerard go so easily. Even when things got better between them, Gerard's abusive daddy was still looking for him, and once he was found, he wasn't going to give up easy.
