Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.

Basically, it's been a couple days after the CDC, and the group is debating about where to go. Then they find the farm. Courtney starts getting more adjusted to post-apocalyptic life, with the help of her friend, Daryl. She also starts getting romantic. Unfortunately, is romance always the best thing? What happens when that romance becomes dangerous? What if it turns from sweet little kisses to full blown punches? Is she really alone in this world?

Courtney is just your average, straight A type of college girl. She'd rather stay in her apartment studying for a test that won't come until next week than go out and get shit-faced drunk at a party. Studying to become a doctor, she never really realizes how important she'll become until later. When a virus breaks out and brings the dead back to life, she and her best friend Melissa need to get out of town. Once they do, though, they meet a group of people. They seem friendly enough. With the exception of two redneck assholes. (I don't own any of the original AMC's The Walking Dead.)

Several bodies are found in the area of a small town. In this town lives Daryl, the killer of all those people. The investigation goes on, the profile is made, and now the police and the FBI look for a specific type, a loner type, ... Daryl's type. He decides to find himself a roommate in an attempt to mislead the police. Let's see how that will turn out for him. AU pre-apocalypse horror story. Obviously very OOC Daryl. The story is so AU you can read it even if you are not a fan of The Walking Dead. Rated M for a good reason, violence, foul language, adult content, it's all there, consider yourself warned.
