In this world twins are called duplicates, and they are about as rare as sand is in the desert, because everyone has a "twin." The only catch in this world is that only one of the twins is considered the "gifted" child. because of this the twins stay together until five years old then their memories are wiped after the researchers know who is "gifted" child.
