I was never capable of creating relationships with people. I could never connect with anyone or anything but animals, horses in particular. My horse became my home, the only thing that gave me the feeling of being intertwined with reality. The day I lost my horse to a violent and sudden colic was the day my world completely fell apart. The longer he was gone the more isolated I became. I more than desperately needed something to change my life.

Nora has ridden horses all of her life. Though there are many horses on her parents equestrian centre, she mostly rides a grey thoroughbred named Ace. Everything is perfect, until a terrible accident. She doesn't know if she will find the courage to get back on a horse, but when a spirited young gelding comes, there might just be a possibility of her riding again.

McKenzie has loved horses her whole life, but her parents never allowed her to saddle up. This summer is a dream come true when she goes to a ranch to take lessons and turns out to be a natural at riding. She develops a special bond with crazy horse, A.K.A. Dakota.
