Dr. Westside has been working on a cure for cancer using a modified version of MRSA. He used to love his work researching and conducting experiments, but with time, he becomes exhausted of the work, which leads to reckless behavior. This reckless behavior causes Dr. Westside's death, leaving his research to be carried out by the next most qualified; Dr. Anders. When approached by the government, Dr. Anders is offered a large payout of money to move the research to a private facility and use Dr. Westside's research, and his death, to create an infection that can be used in war tactics. But even the most skilled Doctors can't control the outcome of their experiments.
