"This is Hilary." I introduced her, still not being able to move an inch because of Claudia's eyes glued permanently on Hilary. Immediately after saying that, Claudia got up, pulling her gun from her hip and aiming it at Hilary. Hilary screamed out of fear and everyone jumped out of their seats in shock. My heart also skipped a beat at how fast Claudia stood up, pulled out the gun and aimed it square at Hilary in such a small amount of time. Mason woke up from the screams of his mother. I ordered Bullet to take Mason away and I covered Hilary. Claudia didn't lose her aim. Since I was in the way, the gun was aiming at me. "Ma! Ma, what the hell?!" Zeus said, trying to calm his mother down. Claudia wasn't angry though, she was still emotionless.

"Do you know what to do, Amunet?" A voice as sweet as silk whispered into the young girl's ear. Amunet didn't look over her shoulder, but shifted uncomfortably on her bare feet before nodding her head. A soft hand touched her back and urged her forward. All eyes turned towards the girl dressed in transparent linen with her dark hair tumbling down her back and her violet eyes lined by kohl. Every movement caused the jewels on her wrists and ankles to dangle and shimmer in the light. She raised her head and found the Pharaoh's transfixed stare. His jade eyes narrowed in on hers and the room became still and silent. Amunet bowed and, at the pluck of a harp string, began to dance. --- DISCLAIMER: this story is NOT historically accurate. It does not take place in any real time period and therefore there will be inaccuracies and areas that don't make sense in the context of "ancient Egypt." CONTENT WARNING: though this story is not explicit (sexual or otherwise), it does mention more mature themes that may be troubling to some readers, including but not limited to forced prostitution and miscarriage. cover by @Addietay

(Please note that this book has been published so only the first 4 chapters are up. The rest is available on Amazon Kindle.) Sebaga is the Chief's daughter. She lives in a small village in Botswana, Southern Africa and has no intention of marrying anyone. Unfortunately, she has no real choice in the matter. It is tradition that she be wed at her age; the ripe old age of eighteen! The Chief has decreed that any man who can tell a story from sun-up to sun-down shall be the one to marry his daughter. Sebaga is not happy with this decision but there is little she can do to change her father's mind. As each day passes and story after story is told, Sebaga worries that her options are running out. If she cannot defy her father by not marrying a man of his choosing, then perhaps she can delay the whole process for a bit longer. However, there is only so much that she can do. Through her family members, as well as other strange and wonderful characters in her life, Sebaga learns life lessons and meets unforgettable characters as we get to experience moments in her life, her parents' lives, her sister's life and perhaps the life of the man who shall tell the longest tale. A long enough tale to become the man that Sebaga marries. _________________________________________________________________________________

*Category : Thriller|Action|Mystery|Romance.* *MatureContent. 18+ Only.* A/N: Trigger Warning PLEASE NOTE: CURRENTLY EDITING, ADDING AND FINISHING THE BOOK, PLEASE COME BACK IN 60 DAYS (15th June 2023) Excerpt: Intoxicating. That one word is my undoing. Dangerous. That one word describes you the best. Opposite. That one word is how I would describe us. Delicious. Your lips. Your smile. The colour white on you. Attraction. Something so strong I am afraid it will break me one day. Scared. Because I can't control what I feel about you. Jealousy. I am so selfish when I am with you. Broken. It is what I feel when you are not around. Constant. You. You are my undoing, Rage. I will forever remember you as the one and only person who can so easily and seamlessly break me into pieces with just one look. I built a perfect world here, right under your nose. A country under your thumb, at your beck and call. A country so shit-scared of the mere sight of you that they can't even call you by your real name. Because when they look you in the eye... all they see is rage. Born in a family run by drug peddlers, daughter of a drug lord... it's seriously laughable how easily I sneaked into your country right under your nose. And you didn't even know. And then you noticed me... Piece by piece I came apart, right at your feet. So easily breakable that all this time, I lived in a delusion... That nothing could ever touch me. And yet you did, Rage. I know, I know. I know, I belong to you... But here is a thing, Rage. I OWN you. *** • Start Date: 12th August, 2016.
