She gave it up for her brother, or so she thought. She wants more, and the mystery behind the "Scarlet Killer" is just the thing to quench her thirst for justice. Author's Notes: The first chapter, or at least the page after this, is kind of like a "behind the scenes" for the true story. This is the two part story of how Hawkeye, the greatest sniper of all time, landed a spot at SHIELD as one of the greatest agents who ever lived, worthy of a spot on the team known as The Avengers. Just to clarify, this takes place after Iron Man 1, but before Iron Man 2 Part 1 Clint Barton is nothing but a carnie with a shady past when everything turns upside down. He is the victim of a terrible firebombing that leaves him with third degree burns on his arms and severely damaged eyesight. Who should save him but the one and only Iron Man? Iron Man brings him to SHIELD, where he is forcibly thrust into service as a SHIELD agent who is given the job of his life with the girl of his dreams and his ex-mentor, whom he can't stand. Together, they must join forces to defeat the one and only Crossfire. But there are hardships along the way and Hawkeye's life will never be the same. Part 2 Two years after the events at Cross Technological Enterprises, Clint is a married man. He's happy, or so it would seem. But when Agent Coulson gives Clint his latest assignment, to find and locate the contract killer known only as the Black Widow, things begin to get complicated, and Clint finds himself turning his back on all that he held dear in order to save Black Widow from her horrifying past. I do not own Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Black Widow, Crossfire, Swordsman, Trickshot, ect. That awesome privilege belongs to Marvel.

This is sorta a love story about you and Kurt Wagner, a.k.a Nightcrawler from x-men evolutions. Most of this story is actually action and drama, the romance is more toward the ending. There will be a short sequel. My story is rated PG-13 but there are at least 2 chapters later on that would be considered rated R and I will put a link to my R-rated version of this story in the comments when it gets to those chapters, if you choose to read them. But it won't mess up the story if you don't read them. My R-rated story is exactly the same as this one, so if you prefer to just read that version the link will be in the comments of the DESCRIPTION PAGE chapter.

Kerri was just a normal teenager with maybe a little worse than normal home life, and an ok but dull school life. That is, until she one day develops an interesting problem. She gains mutant powers, and her appearance starts changing randomly with her emotions. Now she has to try and keep those under a tighter lock than before, because mutant hysteria has hit her town, and she went from an unknown quiet bookworm to the topic on everybody's tongue. Then it really hits the fan at home and she has to leave before it gets worse. Luckily, Professor Charles Xavier finds her and saves her from the streets before something unthinkable can happen to her. Unfortunately it took him a year to find her and she's withdrawn from the world, and isn't used to socializing with humans anymore. And then there's Kurt, code name Nightcrawler. He's a mutant too, and has been treated differently his whole life because of the way he looks. The best day of his life was coming to the institute and getting the hologram that hides the way he really looks so he can finally look like everyone else. But when the newest student comes to the school, he finds himself judging her by looks too. Until she pushes him into showing her his true appearance and marks his life as the first person to ever tell him that he looks better without the hologram. Then, as promised, she shows him what she really looks like and he falls for her. Too bad there's only two trimesters left of his senior year before he graduates. Will Kurt be able to pull Kerri out of her shell before he graduates and has to find what to do next with his life? And what about the pressures of high school and the anti mutant society that are always there at the edge of their life?
