When 12 year old Winter finds out she has bone marrow cancer, her colored world goes grey. As she fights for her life, she soon learns her life will never be the same. She can't go to school, ride her bike, have sleepovers, and wrestle with her brother on the living room floor. While she is in the hospital, she meets some interesting people, and who knows, maybe her now grey world will turn into the colored picture it once was.

Slick, a homeless man who lives behind a theater in a run down shed helps them out. Slick always tells Noah you can't fly unless you let yourself fall. What happens when you don't fly? Noah is falling, he is about to hit the ground, and he is scared to see what happens when he does hit the ground when there is no one to catch him and tell him it will be okay. Then one phone call changes everything.
