Amaranth was raised in isolation from other SkyWings, but for good reason: her mother was an animus. She had hidden her powers and used them only twice--but she still had to stay away. When every dragon tribe is at war with each other, Amaranth trains to fight. When the solution--The Competitions--begin, she will have to learn how to forget her past, and what it truly means to be a SkyWing.

Crownbearer is a slim, young female NightWing. She has a very sexy figure with smooth elegant features. Her eyes are the color of the violet stones that dappled the cave walls. She is a pitch black, with silver dots speckled along her body and starry wings. And with her always looking like she's crying tears the color of the moonlight, who wouldn't be swayed by her charm? Charm and pure innocent puts Crownbearer high on a pedestal, perhaps higher than she thinks. In her mind, she's a young dragonet who leads her little mix and match group of other dragonets and can use her charm to manipulate others. But to another dragon, she's the key he's been looking for- and she doesn't even know it. Living in an underground cave organisation her whole life, she's absolutely stoked to have a shot at Jade Mountain Academy, even though she has to follow some very strict rules. The War of the SandWing Succession is now over. Pyrrhia is at peace now, the Dragonets have opened up an Academy. But, of course, not everyone agrees. And War can cause lots of things, grief, grudges, and perhaps loneness. At least that's what Scorch feels like. He doesn't agree sharing a cave or area at all with other dragons. He'd prefer to stay behind in the SandWing orphanage and be left alone, but Queen Thorn insists on him going, and wouldn't take no for an answer, so he went. When he arrived, he realized that all the time he spent avoiding dragons and being alone, was another pain he couldn't bare. Protecting the dragons he now cares about, he sets his eyes on a suspicious dragon, one he hasn't seen before. Scorch and his friends now realize that this dragon could either bring Pyrrhia together, or cause it to fall...
