i kinda gave up on this story like a year ago but its still here anyways adderpaw, larkflower, and cloverfrond. none of them have any connection to one another other than the fact that they all have problems of their own to work out. all three cats may be from different clans, but covering up their struggles is something that all of the clans will need to unite to fight against. the only question is still waiting to be answered; what happens if the clans' pride puts them at risk of not being able to unite against the siege? 𝔡𝔦𝔰𝔠𝔩𝔞𝔦𝔪𝔢𝔯 ✧ i havent worked on this story since like the beginning of 2022, and i dont plan on finishing it, but it's still up just for memories :)

This story will have violence and gore, gaslighting, victim blaming, psychological trauma, and, the biggest reason why I am stressing about this, rape. I don't put trigger warnings on my actual chapters as any of them can be a trigger warning* Rosekit and Violetkit are living their best lives in the ever-expanding Maple Empire. It is separated into three colonies. Gorge Colony, a colony that lives along a river under a gorge, and hunts on empty plains. Forest Colony, the biggest colony as it covers most of the forest. Their camp is located in a cavern, and they prowl throughout the forest and the tunnels connected to their cavern home. Then there is Mountain Colony. This small colony "loves" the mountains, and their camp is located in a deep cave. They thrive off of bats that reside with them in their home. They also hunt in what little of the surface territory they have. The Maple Empire's center is where the royal family lives, and where all rules and gatherings are started. Its territory surrounds a center lake, and the very center of that lake is an island. Rosekit and Violetkit have nothing to worry about. Life is beautiful in the Maple Empire.

As a kit, Mistybreeze and her brother enjoy playing with Bloodfur. But when their friendship is suddenly broken, she grows lonely, and only Revengeheart seems willing to befriend her. She quickly falls for him and agrees to become his mate. This is a short story that takes place during Shadows of Blood.

A sickness - like a mere case of the chills or a minor whitecough in a patient - is often something a medicine cat can easily fix, with some leafy catmint or perhaps a pawful of feverfew. It is vanquished effortlessly, and the illness is gone. It does not come back unless someone receives it again. But when the Clans have contracted a terrible sickness, StarClan has not answered for moons, and they are losing numbers quickly, nobody knows what to do. The medicine cats have done all they can for their Clanmates, however, nothing has worked. No longer outside the elder's den lay a lazy, gray-muzzled cat. The nursery, ever so faintly smelling of milk, only contains memories of what used to happen in the usually cheery den. The warrior's den only have three or four inhabitants, each of which thinks grimly of the day that the sickness could come upon them. The apprentice's den, in some Clans, has one cat who comes to sleep in it each night, cold and alone. Others are empty, filled with grief for lost futures. Leaf-fall has tumbled upon the Clans. Leaf-bare approaches, peeking over the treetops some mornings. This awful illness has lasted since Green-leaf and, still, with the medicine cats searching every day and the warrior's eyes peeled for it, a cure has not been found. However, each Clan has a reason for StarClan not answering them, and they mostly stick to it.
