I dance like a beached whale. I have never been kissed. I've also been called a mountain goat because I can bound up a rock wall like nobody's business. It'd be a solid nickname if mountain goats didn't weigh three hundred pounds on a good day and the females didn't have beards. But I'll take being likened to a heavy animal with facial hair if that means I'd also be capable of leaping twelve feet in the air like them. Anyways, to learn more about Anya (that's me!) and her last summer before college, press 'one' for more information.

School’s finally out and Elijah wanted nothing more than for his band to play gigs at his father’s new Bar, and to continue to obsess over his school’s cheerleading captain, Stacey Dugan. Also, it was a break from his biology partner and Stacey’s best friend, Dakota, whom he can’t stand. But, what happens when Dakota announces that she will help Elijah win over Stacey, only in return to have Stacey forget about the boy across the street from Dakota, the one she wants? According to my mother, or Mother Dearest as I prefer to call her, my defiant behavior is unacceptable. Her way of dealing with me? Sending me to Devonshire Academy for Delinquents. Marley Fletcher is half of a person: stuck in a mindless, indefinite cycle of pleasant friends, obeyed rules, and whispered words of forced contentment, she’s trapped by what’s missing. Senior year of high school brings no more than another smattering of new teachers and Friday nights with old friends at the local movie theater. But Marley longs for something to complete her, to fill her dreamy innocence with passion and fervor. She wants someone to live for. She finds someone who makes her want to die. Selfish, cruel, and impatient, Jude Sinclair has not only cut off his ties to compassion and sympathy, he has torched the ropes with flames and laughed as they burned to ashes. Jude is an integral member of the underground, modern scope of organized crime—the infamous “Mob.” Despite his lack of Italian heritage, he has risen to the peak of his bloody career at only 24 years old: the deaths of hundreds linger at his fingertips, and it seems not one has left an ounce of regret on his indecent conscience. Jude doesn’t know what it is about Marley: a naïve, childish little high school girl with self-esteem depleting faster than the ozone layer. For the sake of a bet and a game he doesn’t quite understand, Jude grows determined to “break” her, to destroy her stubborn resistance until she surrenders to him, and then to abandon her. After all, Jude Sinclair can do anything to anyone. He can leave her shattered.

With the help of her new boyfriend and the kindly old lady she works for, Ally makes a decision that changes her path of life forever.
