Bad news is cuts can be any specific interaction and different for each people so essentially you're expected to lose your first life in order to know your cut but the good news is, if you get cut by your soulmate, the tattoo will disappear and you can live with your soulmate without having to worry about the cuts and stuff. So basically getting cut by your soulmate breaks the thing lol.
